I recently went on a Grecian cruise where I visited different islands. I started in Croatia where we set sail, went on to a Greek island called Delph, Athens, Corfu and Kotor in Montenegro.
I would advise anyone to cruise at least once in your life, I was told prior to going that I would either love it or hate it and I LOVED IT! The staff were so friendly and hospitable, always looking after you, I got to see 3 countries and 5 stunning islands to get a taster of each, which could help me decide whether I would want to go back.
I was so scared to try this new venture as I cannot swim and the thought of being on a boat for 7 days scared the hell out of me and caused a touch of anxiety.. BUT I DID IT! I ventured out of my comfort zone and decided that if I didn't do it I was letting the idea of my fear beat me! I do not regret it what so ever! I had my camera and away I went!
Day1 and 2- Croatia/Dubrovnik
Croatia was amazing such a unique place with a lot of unique buildings and structure and amazing food, the local community are so friendly and welcoming and always make sure you feel comfortable. I went to a club called 'sky bar' in the evening which played modern music and had such a modern feel to it. Croatia has become such a tourist destination especially now they hold a popular festival called 'hideout', whether it's for the festival or for a getaway I would definitely recommend Croatia, the stunning blue sea along with mountains and blue skies is such a breathtaking place to be
Croatia ❤️
The next day I had a day at sea where entertainment was provided throughout the day and we could sit on the top deck and catch a bit of sun(of course! haha). A lot of lounging around and a secret over indulgent into the coconut and pistachio ice-cream! ;-))
Day 4-Corinth(Greek Island)
Corinth is such a stunning island, when I stepped of the ship at port I walked through a small town with a lot of derelict building's where, it seemed there was a lot of history behind it, along with the buildings there was a huge amount of graffiti on the walls. I can honestly say walking through was a real eye opener for me as you could see it was an area of poverty, but although it seems like the local community have not got much, they were still so happy! so welcoming! it was such an heartfelt feeling!. Amongst this area a stunning white washed church stood tall in the centre with the sun reflecting of the top, it was such a beautiful sight that i wont forget!. when i did my 4 mile walk through the town I got to a local communal beach where it was really family orientated which i love! when you sat on your sun lounger the staff from the beach bar came over and took your order and brought you your fresh cold drink, it was lovely!.
As it turned to lunch time I found a unique, modern restaurant called 'NU' it was gorgeous! stunning marble decor and the food!! OMG! I had a ceaser salad! I felt like I was in heaven for a minute as it was mouthwateringly delicious!!<<just threw that word together! haha!, after lunch and viewing the sights it was time to head back to port :-(, I have to say Corinth had to be one of my favorites simply because the people! so happy, so friendly, welcoming and forever smiling and happy with the little they have!
Corinth xx
Day 5- Itea(Greek Island)
Itea was a small town that again was very much a small family community, I walked through the town where there was a strong smell of gorgeous fresh bread being baked from the numerous bakeries that were on the strip. As i walked by I spotted another stunning church that sat in the centre of the town it stood out with its remarkable decor from the outside, I was intreged as to what the inside looked like so i covered my shoulders with my beach towel(as a sign of respect) and went in.
When i entered I felt so at peace it was so beautiful and the beautiful features really stood out. I was told I could light a candle and place it and say a prayer for a loved one, it was such a precious moment.
As the day went on I walked down to the beach and stood in the water, I managed to go midway far enough to get a picture with the views of the background, the sea felt so fresh with the warm 32 degree heat reflecting on to the water.

Day 6- Corfu
Corfu was such a tourist attraction with all the high street shops! it was great to do a bit of shopping, as well as grabbing some souvenirs for my family!, The strip was filled with all the local shops and i stopped at an independent bakery where i brought some baklava! my favorite was the cinnamon flavour it was sooo good! Corfu is known to be a great family holiday hot spot with a fun filled nightlife!

Day 7-Kotor-Montenegro
This was one of the most breathtaking places I have ever had the pleasure of visiting! When I arrived that morning and took my breakfast up on the top deck I could not believe my eyes!! Mountains everywhere! and the scenery! STUNNING! I wanted to make the most of the day we had here, so I got of ship and explored, I went to a local frozen yoghurt parlour where I had coconut frozen yogurt with nuts sprinkled on top! I walked through town to see all the ancient buildings and towns there were! It was stunning im ashamed to say I never knew this place existed until I got there!

New Friendships <3
I met so many amazing people on this amazing cruise that I am happy to now call friends, I love to see new places but I also love meeting new people and new characters, I can honestly say it took alot of courage for me to get up and go as I can get very naturally anxious, however I faced alot of fears and now when I look back I can say I DID IT! I got to see and experience 3 countries and 5 stunning islands and meet so many amazing people! I would recommend cruising to anyone! I guess this comes into finding yourself and what challenges you the most to break from your comfort zone. Never be afraid to try something new, I was but now I have done it I feel I have got one step closer. <3 xx
